3. Data on your device

The app stores game progress, coins, achievements, purchased content and settings locally in its app storage. This data does not leave your device. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data deletes it. Legal basis: providing the game (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

4. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The app shows ads through Google AdMob, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google").

Google processes in particular your device's advertising ID, your IP address, device and app information (such as model, operating system and language) and information about which ads were shown and tapped.

Consent

On first launch, a consent dialog (Google User Messaging Platform, IAB Transparency and Consent Framework) asks whether Google may use data for personalized ads. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG). Without consent, Google shows only non-personalized or limited ads. Even then, Google processes some data, for example for fraud prevention and ad measurement.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time in the app under Settings → Privacy settings.

Remove ads

After buying "Remove ads", the app no longer shows ads on its own. Optional reward videos remain available.

Google may transfer data to the USA. Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. More: Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from apps that use its services.

5. In-app purchases (Google Play)

Purchases are handled by Google Play. You provide payment details to Google only. The app only receives a confirmation of which product was bought so it can unlock it. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). The Google Privacy Policy also applies.

6. Sharing pictures

When you share a picture, the app creates the image file on your device and opens Android's share menu. What happens next is up to the app you choose there.

7. No analytics or tracking services

Apart from AdMob, the app uses no analytics, tracking or crash reporting services. If Google Play offers to send crash and usage reports, this happens through Google and according to your Android settings.

8. This website

This website is provided by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you visit it, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data such as your IP address, date and time, the requested page and browser information to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. Legal basis: my legitimate interest in a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

The website sets no cookies, uses no analytics and loads no third-party content.

9. Contact by email

If you write to me, I process your email address and message to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). Emails to @escapixel.com are forwarded to my mailbox via Cloudflare Email Routing. I delete them once they are no longer needed.

10. Children

Escapixel is intended for people aged 13 and over.

11. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 15–21 GDPR). You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.

Since I store no data about you myself, please also contact Google about data that Google processes.

12. Changes

If the app or the services it uses change, I will update this policy. The version published here applies.
